“ALL I NEED TO HEAR IS THE WORD - IMPOSSIBLE I LIKE A DESIGN CHALLENGE AND THE FREEDOM TO EXECUTE A NEW VISION” - Ron Mann
Ron Mann’s design studio and home are in Sonoma, California. His portfolio encompasses commercial and residential projects as well as custom furniture design and architectural elements.
His work has been extensively published in design magazines, Architectural Digest, Garden Design Magazine, Western Interiors and The New York Times. When given free rein, Ron's design work focuses on designing from the ground up. Ron prefers to custom design and build all interior and exterior elements of a property with an eye to integrating the structure in a seamless way within the terrain for a contemporary yet timeless impact. Ron a true innovator, he has a distinctive approach to design, creating furnishings, interiors and residences that evoke what is essential, artful and playful.
He is a master of color, merging an earthen palette with unexpected flashes of intense color. His work is simple, sculptural, direct, designed with a extraordinary point of view. He utilizes environmentally sustainable building practices, including recycled woods, locally harvested stone and natural materials in both construction and furnishing.
Ron has a talent for integrating uncommonly beautiful materials in a sculptural way with an incredible sense for scale. His love of the natural world and its colors and textures has always been an essential element of his work.
Ron also has a great love for artisanal craft and craftsmanship. He collects and showcases unusual art, ethnic art, antiquities and architectural elements in his projects, he sees them as both counterpoint and complement to his contemporary design aesthetic.
